Once you have selected the type of self-directed IRA you would like to open, Traditional, Roth, SEP or SIMPLE, the application can be completed online via Adobe E-Sign or by downloading the application in a PDF format. You must have the following information to be able to complete the application process:

  • A valid government issued photo ID
  • Your beneficiary’s information (name, relationship, SSN, address, percentage designation)

Online Adobe E-Sign applicants:

Once we receive your application you will receive an email with additional instructions and the Transfer Request form. Please be prepared with a statement from your current Financial Institution.

PDF applicants:

Once complete please send the entire application to Preferred Trust.
